Having been Scouters – Ian was Baloo and I was Akala, we are very aware of the brilliant organisation it is, and of all the good it does for others too, so when Nirmala Strestha, a teacher we knew from our work with Shree Krishna Devi Primary school in Kodari, Sindapulchowk. Nirmala was there, helping us to distribute, record names and explain things to the women of the village – our very first distribution, so later when she approached us about the possibility of providing them for the female Leaders and girls in her Troop – Shree Krihna Scout Troop. we were delighted to say yes. Nirmala, here on the left, is a wonderful role model for women in Nepal today.
